Pop Star(t)s Summer Camp

In Pop Star(t)s Full-Day Summer Camp participants will gain valuable experience working with other peers to create a unique pop band experience. Sing your favourite pop songs, learn harmonies and basic choreography, and work with Pop music professional Chersea; jump start your pop experience and come join PMM’s Pop Star(t)s Summer Camp July 3-7, 2023.

Previous music experience is helpful. ALL VOICES WELCOME. There will be a performance at the end of the week.

Time: Monday-Friday @ 10pm-4pm
Dates: July 3 to July 7 (M-F)

Addams Family Musical Theatre Camp

On the heals of the incredibly well-received TV show, Wednesday, Pleasant Mountain Music is pleased to offer a unique Addams Family Musical Theatre Summer Camp for ages 8-18 this July!

Learn iconic songs from the original film and television series, while also tackling the music from the relaunched television series. Participants will gain valuable experience working with other peers to create a unique musical theatre experience. Learn harmonies and basic choreography, and work with Musical Theatre professional Chersea; jump start your summer camp experience and come join us July 10-14, 2023.

Previous music experience is not required. ALL VOICES WELCOME. There will be a performance at the end of the week.

Songwriting Summer Camp

Songwriting Summer Camp participants will step up their songwriting skills in this full day camp designed to inspire the next generation of singer-songwriters. Lead by pop music professional Chersea, participants will be guided through all elements of song creation: from basic theory and cadence patterns, to pop/rock/folk music stylings, relative keys and pitch, as well as the “pop cheat code”. Alongside the music and composition aspect of composing, participants will expand on their lyricism and poetry, by working on rhyming schemes, rhythm, poetic cadence, song structure, cliches, analysis, simile, metaphor skills and more!

There will be a performance at the end of the week.

Songwriting and Recording Summer Camp

In PMM’s first ever summer camp collab, we will partner with Echoplant Recording studios to give students a professional recording experience! Our camp co-leader David, will assist participants in the recording of their freshly created (or in some cases, finally finished) original works. Participants will learn the ins and outs of basic recording terminology, begin to understand the process by which modern recording tools are used to put acoustic sounds onto digital demos, and take home their very own original song. Students will record a minimum of 1 demo, however, there may be an opportunity to record more songs depending on the process.

– participants enrolled in recording camp MUST take songwriting camp.
